I first became aware that my solar system wasn't working almost a year ago when I noticed the light on the inverter had turned from green to red. I contacted Solar Secure to get it fixed. I spent many hours with the Solar Secure rep trying to get it fixed. After many photo's of the mains power board and inverter, nothing was done. I was advised there was nothing wrong with the inverter even though it was still showing a red light. I gave up in frustration and decided to check my next power bill. As I pay by direct debit I didn't check my bills. A couple of weeks ago I finally did check my bill and found I wasn't getting any feed-in credits. I contacted AGL, my supplier and was advised I hadn't received any feed-in credits since May, 2022. Almost a year lost. AGL had switched to monthly billing and with the increase in power costs I hadn't noticed that I wasn't credited with feed in credits. I called Solar Secure and spoke to Jason who showed a lot of empathy regarding my problem. He was very helpful and stayed with me until the problem was fixed. The problem was a cable into the inverter had fallen of. As I am not an expert in inverters and electricity, I hadn't any idea that cable was supposed to be connected Due to the incompetence of the first person I spoke to last May, I have missed out on almost a year of feed-in credits, amounting to a lot of unnecessary costs.
I am very grateful for Jason but definitely not Solar Secure and am loathe to recommend it to anyone.
