- The Empowering Homes Program is a NSW Government initiative designed to help households make the transition to cleaner energy, and take control of their power bills. The program will provide access to no-interest loans for eligible NSW home owners to install either battery or solar-battery systems in their homes.
- For households who already have a solar system and would like to install a battery, loans of up to $9000 will be available.
- For households that don't have a solar system, or would like to increase the size of their existing system, loans of up to $14,000 will be available for the installation of a solar-battery system.
- Applications for loans are not yet open but you can register your interest in the Empowering Homes Program and receive updates as they become available.
- The program is expected to be available for installations in summer 2019/2020.
